Transform Trade, a registered charity, supports producers across the world to fight for a fairer trade system, working together for trade that values people over profit.

Traidcraft is now the trading brand of Transform Trade – an iconic brand with an amazing legacy as a pioneer of the fair trade movement.

Traidcraft was a pioneer of fair trade over 40 years ago, and a founder of the Fairtrade Mark in the UK – we will continue this legacy by offering a small range of high-quality, fairly traded products.

This year, True Origin and Transform Trade Transform Trade and True Origin have worked together to bring back one of Traidcraft’s best loved products, Traidcraft tea, putting Traidcraft brand to work in supporting the tea producers who grow it.

In autumn 2023 Traidcraft launched our first every range of charity Christmas cards, which flew off the shelves, and in 2024 are looking to expand our card offering to include greetings cards as well.

Currently, our small product range consists of Traidcraft Tea and charity Christmas cards, but we also exploring other future offerings – so stay tuned!

Traidcraft has a proud legacy as a fair trade pioneer, and we want to ensure that Traidcraft has a positive future – but it’s still early days. The truth is that most of Transform Trade’s budget is tied up in our work, directly supporting workers, farmers and artisans around the world, and campaigns to tackle big picture injustice.

In August 2023, we launched an appeal to help raise the funds to rebuild Traidcraft in a fresh way - to restore its essential impact and build on years of amazing work. So many of our committed supporters generously donated, and we can’t thank them enough for generously donating so that Traidcraft can once again be an inspiration and a powerful force for good.

All donations to Traidcraft or to any of Transform Trade’s work are received by Transform Trade (registered charity number 1048752), meaning all your gifts can qualify for Gift Aid if you’re a registered taxpayer.

All your existing gifts via Direct Debit or Standing Order (whether they are made payable to Transform Trade, Traidcraft Exchange or Traidcraft) do not need to be amended – we, at Transform Trade, still gratefully receive your vital donations regularly and they form the backbone of our work across the world, transforming trade so everyone benefits. We cannot thank you enough.

Again, thank you so much – there is no quick fix for transforming trade but, in remembering us in your will, you are building a world where people and their rights are respected and where they can prosper according to their own ambitions. Transform Trade (still legally called Traidcraft Exchange, registered charity number 1048752) is still a thriving charity and your gift in your will is not only an act of true kindness, but an investment in communities.
